The San Antonio Food Bank is the primary provider of the food that we give to our client families, either directly through order and delivery, or by a proxy donation program. Through their proxy programs, we are able to receive donations of food directly from our local retailers Target, WalMart, and HEB. We are blessed to be a Partner Agency.
We are so proud to be a partner agency of The United Way of Comal County. The UWCC provides much needed funding to many deserving and hardworking nonprofit organizations throughout Comal County, and we are very fortunate to have their support.
The McKenna Foundation has provided integral support in the updating and improvement in our infrastructure and processes. We are grateful for their help each and every day as we continue to see an increase in the number of families we serve–we are now able to serve them more efficiently than ever before.
The GVTC Foundation is always a generous supporter of our mission to care for neighbors in need. Not only do they support local hunger relief efforts through our food pantry, they also spearhead an annual Thanksgiving Dinner campaign to provide holiday groceries to families throughout the Bulverde/Spring Branch area. They definitely “walk the walk” when it comes to giving local and caring for their community.
The Bulverde Thrift Store is a valued collaborative partner, both in serving our clients, and financially contributing to our mission. Working with us using a voucher system, our clients are able to shop at the store to find clothing and other items they need. Profits from the Thrift Store provide financial support for both Provisions and our sister organization, the Bulverde Spring Branch Activity Center.
We are proud members of the Bulverde/Spring Branch Chamber of Commerce. The Chamber has become an important advocate for Provisions, keeping our mission and ministry in front of the local business community and helping to raise awareness of hunger in our community. We are also very appreciative of the generous support we receive from area businesses and residents! We thank them for giving back to our neighbors in need.
The Bulverde Spring Branch Activity Center is a valued collaborative partner in which we work with the “Meals on Wheels” program to determine who in our service area that are seniors, disabled, veterans, or otherwise housebound who need assistance. We provide the same amount of food and personal items to those clients just as we would clients who are able to physically participate at the pantry location. We utilize either “Meals on Wheels” drivers to deliver directly to those in need.
Provisions is rated as a Platinum Participant with GuideStar Exchange for nonprofits. Visit our GuideStar profile HERE
